Breaking the time barrier: Better sleep with BetterCloud

With many businesses operating with a geographically dispersed workforce, respecting time zone differences is crucial for a positive onboarding experience.
Different time zones create a logistical hurdle for a smooth onboarding experience. Imagine a new hire in India starting at 9 AM Monday, while IT support in New York is unavailable in the Eastern Time Zone where it would be 11:30PM on a Sunday.
This conundrum has IT admins wondering: How can I ensure my new hires are onboarded successfully without having to login at night?
Thanks to automation with BetterCloud scheduled workflows you can be sleeping peacefully while your onboarding takes place. You can select the user ahead of time, and schedule the workflow to kick off, so that you do not have to wait until the start day of your employees to begin their onboarding process.
Creating the user in their initial Integration
To schedule a workflow, we would recommend creating a main account for the user to be ingested. You can create the initial Integration user to be ingested through one of our Full Integrations. This can be through your supported HRIS, SSO, or Productivity Suite, or created directly in BetterCloud through an action.

Scheduling the Workflow
Once your new user is synced into BetterCloud, you can go ahead and schedule your onboarding workflow.
To initiate the workflow, you can select the user from Directory>Users.
Once selected, click the action menu and you can type in your workflow there, or click Workflows>Click your workflow name.
Ensure that all of the fields, including dynamic, are filled out correctly.
When you are ready, click ‘Schedule Workflow’, and you can choose your Date, Time, and Timezone for the workflow to run.
