< 1 minute read
This week, Forbes released its third annual list of billion-dollar startups. BetterCloud is proud to be included in this prestigious list of 25 up and coming companies for 2017.
The need for and success of solutions like BetterCloud is tied to the biggest change in workplace technology since the advent of email: SaaS applications. SaaS is a runaway train that’s showing no signs of stopping, per this year’s State of the SaaS-Powered Workplace report, with 73% of organizations saying nearly all of their business apps will be SaaS by 2020, and 38% of companies already running almost entirely on SaaS.
2017 has seen a number of key turning points in the evolution of this market:
- Gartner published their first-ever Market Guide for Cloud Office Management Tools (login required), with BetterCloud being the only vendor mentioned to offer functionality in all six major functional areas of the category.
- Tech giants paid top dollar for technology built to solve pain points around SaaS management and security, with a combined $2bn+ spent on acquisitions in this space, up from less than $1bn in 2016.
- And BetterCloud released the first-ever SaaS application management and security platform, a new API-centric approach that was built from scratch specifically to solve the challenges IT and security teams face in SaaS environments, without degrading the user experience or benefits to collaboration and productivity.
Thank you to all of our customers who have believed in our vision and made this possible, our partners for their support, and last but not least, all of the BetterClouders who have worked so hard the past two years to make this platform a reality for our customers.
