BetterCloud: When and why was your organization founded?

Maven Wave Partners: Maven Wave was founded in 2008. Our strategy from the beginning has been to provide strategy-led, results-driven management, technology and outsourcing solutions to companies that seek to improve performance.

BetterCloud: How has the market changed since you started as a Google Apps reseller?

Maven Wave Partners: We have seen an expected two-fold evolution. (1) Cloud as an enterprise service has continued to gain acceptance within our largest enterprise organizations, which has reduced the decision risk for leaders and validated the market; and (2) Google specifically has continued to evolve the platform and engagement maturity, leading to some big enterprise wins.

BetterCloud: Does your company have a certain specialty – Industry? Location? Size?

Maven Wave Partners: We cater primarily to large enterprise customers, which by their nature, are global across industries. Our goal is to use our transformational DNA to assist our clients not only with their Google investment, but partner with them to drive real business returns. It’s not a transactional one-time implementation for us.

BetterCloud: Can you tell us one thing about your company we wouldn’t find out from your website?

Maven Wave Partners: What makes us successful is our great people. That’s why we are relentless in hiring the industry’s top consultants. Each consultant is hand-picked not only for their skills, but for their personality and broad expertise. BetterCloud: What is your favorite BetterCloud feature? Why?

Maven Wave Partners: It’s difficult to pick a favorite, but something that has been very helpful for us is reporting. Canned Reports and the Ad-Hoc reporting tools provide a fast, powerful method to develop insight into data that’s in Google Apps, but not easily extracted. BetterCloud makes it simple to extract and manipulate that data, directly in Google Docs formats.

BetterCloud: What do you hope to see from BetterCloud in 2014?

Maven Wave Partners: The increasing demand for insight into sharing settings has made the sharing controls in BetterCloud a key feature. In 2014, it would be great to see more controls available for the automated detection of sharing policy violations (by regular expression, for example) to provide administrators with an even more robust tool to protect against data leakage violations.

BetterCloud: What do you hope to see from Google Apps in 2014?

Maven Wave Partners: Google Apps is a fantastic platform on which organizations can build their business, both large and small. The collaborative features of Google are impressive and quickly available to any size organization. However, both large and small organizations have the need to organize many types of information (docs, calendars, etc.) around discrete teams. We believe that further advancements in that area would be beneficial to all organizations regardless of size.

BetterCloud: What are your company’s plans for 2014?

Maven Wave Partners: In 2014, we plan to continue to offer our clients a high-level of service and help them make the most out of their Google investment. We are constantly thinking of innovative ways for our clients to use Google Apps to increase productivity and communication. We plan to continue this strategy in 2014 fueled by further investment in expanding our Google relationship, new solution offerings and other complementary partnerships.

BetterCloud: Favorite cloud service your company uses, other than Google Apps?

Maven Wave Partners: In addition to Google Apps and BetterCloud, a tool that has been valuable for our entire team is Lucidchart. From our user experience/design team to developers, to architects, providing rich diagrams and flowcharts is at the center of the deliverables we create for our clients. It’s made even better by the fact that Lucidchart integrates with Apps via the Google Drive SDK.

BetterCloud: What’s the best thing about working at your company?

Maven Wave Partners: The best thing about working at Maven Wave is the people. We work with the top consultants in our industry and they make the work more enjoyable. Everyone is smart, personable and hard-working, but they also like to have fun!
